I teach out of Manchester city centre, but I am willing and able to travel to a location of your choice(within the Greater Manchester area) though this will incur additional travel costs.
I offer the first hour's lesson free with absolutely no obligation, this hour will allow you to meet me, allow us to chat about where you want your playing to go and to introduce you to my teaching style and syllabus.
Any style that you are interested in is catered for, but I do specialize in alternative forms of playing such as Rock, Metal, Extreme Metal and Shredding techniques. Music theory is an inescapable part of guitar tuition and therefore I teach this also. The first few weeks of tuition will concentrate on a syllabus designed to introduce the student to basic playing technques/areas of theory that we must, as musicians, know. However there will be always time to cover things (be they songs, harmony etc) which you find exicting and interesting!
Having fun is an essential part of learning a new instrument, therefore, if theres something your not happy with, be it with my syllabus, or even my teaching style, all you have to do is say and I will addresss the matter immediately!
I generally teach hour lessons although longer sessions can be arranged, less than an hour is generally unproductive. I can also teach groups as well as individuals, and approved Rock School grades for UCAS points etc or grades from other organisations such as the RGT.
I pride myself on my competitive prices - as such an hours lesson is a mere £15.
